Application Support Assistant

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £20,000 to £25,000 depending on experience


The role will involve dealing with clients and ensuring all IT support needs are fulfilled within the agreed service level agreement. You will need to manage client’s expectations through clear and concise communication. A proactive approach to this role is required with an expectation that the suitable candidate has the ability to troubleshoot and project manage using our chosen issue tracking product.

Role Description:

  •          Deliver a high quality and responsive customer support service to clients for our software applications
  •          Take ownership of support tickets from the initial call through to incident resolution
  •          Log in remotely to resolve onsite issues.
  •          Document and escalate software issues
  •          Provide regular client updates throughout support ticket lifecycle
  •          Data management, reporting and perform system updates

 Minimum Requirements:

  •          Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
  •          A logical, analytical and inquisitive nature
  •          Evidence of good level of computer skills
  •          Ability to work on own initiative
  •          Excellent Time Management Skills
  •          Excellent eye for detail

The Support Assistant will provide a pivotal role in supporting the current growth of the company across a variety of clients covering many different industries. They will be required to investigate and understand the changing business and systems requirements of clients and produce effective documentation to all parties to facilitate development. In addition, they will be required to provide effective communication and support in the delivery of new requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
